There is a lot to the subject of
fonts. Most graphic artists just want to know how
to install them, use them, have as many of them
available as possible and make sure they display
and print like they should. The subject of fonts
can range from the most basic and practical to the
most unbelievably technical. There's something in
this subject for the most casual user of wordprocessing
software to the professional font designer. |

There's something else, too . . .
There is an appreciation of the beauty of a well-designed
typeface. This is something that can only be appreciated
and cannot be expressed in words. Selecting the right
font is critical to a good graphic design and I believe
it plays more than just a little part in the creative
process.
