A Brief Tour of The Essentials

First, let me thank you for visiting and taking an interest in computer graphics. I hope that this site will give you a better understanding of computer graphics in general and help you get better results. I have put together a little "tour" to help you organize the task of learning the major graphics software applications. It starts right here.

Computers are getting more powerful by the day and the software vendors are providing mind-boggling applications which constantly push the limits of the hardware. End users are faced with the daunting task of keeping up to date. The graphic artist of yesterday only had to know about the various kinds of print media. Today's graphic artist has to know about electronic publishing as well as print media.

The Pieces Of The Digital Graphics Puzzle

This tour briefly describes a few of the essential pieces to the digital graphics puzzle. There are many different software applications made by different software companies and they sometimes don't agree on how to go about things. That leaves you - the user - stuck with either trying to cope and memorize all the apparent differences or hopefully discover on your own that there are similarities between them. I have attempted to organize the subject a little bit so it isn't so confusing.
