Font Browsers (Font Viewers)

Typograf (shareware, PC only - http://www.neuber.com)

Typograph is more than just a font browser. However, it is an outstanding font browser. There is nothing like it for the Mac®. It is only available for the PC. A font browser should be able to view uninstalled fonts as well as installed fonts and be able to print specimen sheets. Typograf does it all. You can zoom in on complete character sets and print specimen sheets in a variety of formats - including a full character set and a keyboard layout. You can also view a font's properties including full font name, family name, style, PostScript® name, version, trademark and copyright data. The font properties also display kerning pairs, metrics data plus a full character set.

Font Gander Pro (shareware, Mac only - http://www.semplicesoft.com)

FontBuddy (shareware, Mac only - http://hometown.aol.com/vjalby/FontBuddy)

Both Font Gander Pro and FontBuddy support viewing of uninstalled fonts as well as installed fonts. FontBuddy has a browser window where you can browse more than one font at a time. Both support printing of specimen sheets.
